WEEK SIX

Proposal on preliminary election

RAN party proposes a preliminary election.

Results:

Jail Abolition

Alt Left Party (ALP) proposes the following:

Results:

However, 57% is not enough for a constitutional majority. This law would change the constitution, but it did not achieve 67% support, necessary for that.

Death Penalty Reinforcement

Reunification Party (RP) proposes to reintroduce Death Penalty for:

Results

Note that the combination of the second and the fourth note would move most members of the ALP and LPB to the death penalty.

The Putsch Nationale

The parliament notes that the Party Militia of the RAN has taken over small cities and villages in the southern half of the Brest Republic, while the RP has bombed a number of railways and roads at the north of the country.
The parliament is asked by a member of the Liberal Party of Brest to pass the following:

Result:

Henceforth, the RAN and the RP are removed from the parliament. The ALP and the LPB reach the following agreement - the parliament is divided up like so:

The Defence of Lida

The ALP notifies the Parliament in Brest of the following:

The ALP concludes the following maneuvers should be conducted:

Results:

The Lida Safety Protocol

The ALP proposes for the digital server to leak the name of the person who proposed to bomb the city of Lida, which is unconstitutional, hence needs at least 67% support to come true.

The name was not leaked.

The Battle of Brest

It has been reported that the last remains of the Reunification Party (RP) have assembled some light infantry, currently nearing the Parliament of Brest. The ALP proposes to declare the State of Emergency, drive the military into the Capital City and protect the parliament with 200 heavy and 400 light infantry, 10 light tanks and 1 helicopter, given that they have assembled between 40 and 100 soldiers, equipped them with rifles, and 2 light tanks.

Results:

Brest Safety Protocol

Due to the ongoing battle of Brest, the LPB proposes to:

The results:

The chairperson of the ALP proclaimed: “Such an action would be a beginning of a totalitarian regime, and unconstitutional. Liberal party of Brest? More like a Crypto-totalitarian party!”

Analysts are noting that the divide between the ALP and the LPB is ever stronger.

The ALP is abusing every unpopular action of the LPB to gain power. “And you call yourself alt-leftists?”, replied the LPB chairperson to the accusation by the ALP.

Brest Retaliation

The LPB proclaims the following:

The LPB, hence, proposes the following:

Results:

Note that many MoP-s did not resist as they knew this is about a trial against the people, who attempted to murder them.

WEEK SEVEN

Brest Ruple

The ALP proposes a new monetary currency, Brest Ruble, to replace the Belarussian Ruble. The sign is to be “€”.

Results:

Brest Dollar

The ALP proposes a new monetary currency, Brest Dollar, to replace the Belarussian Ruble. The sign is to be “$”.

Results:

Initial Economic Plan

The Committee on State Incomes has calculated the weekly income of the Brest Republic, measured in Brest Dollars $.

TOTAL: 5.1 billion $

The Committee on Monetary Reserves has calculated the reserve funds of the Brest Republic:

TOTAL: 18 billion $

It must be noted that this worth means nothing if it is not compared to the size of the income/outcome.

Following the above notions, the ALP proposes to set the weekly outcome budget for the current and future weeks like so:

IN TOTAL: 4.6 billion $

This would leave a weekly plus of 0.5 billion $, and allow for 1.2 billion$ weekly to be spent on development, infrastructure, research and other projects.

However, the LPB declares a violent blockade against such an economic plan, as it does not include the 100 million $ weekly membership fee into the new Libertarian League, which they are willing to join (those 100 million $ are necessary to fund common activities, which benefit the member).

Due to the LPB’s demand, the results are as follows:

The Alternate Budget

A common LPB-ALP team proposes the following budget.

INCOME:

TOTAL: 5.1 billion $

RESERVES:

TOTAL: 18 billion $

LOANS:

TOTAL: 2.5 billion

OUTCOME:

IN TOTAL: 4.7 billion $

This would leave a weekly plus of 0.4 billion $, and allow for 1 billion$ weekly to be spent on development, infrastructure, research and other projects. State reserves, minus the loans, total 15.5 billion $.

Results:

The budget is now in place.

Libertarian League

The Alt-Left party proposes the following letter to the libertarian League:

“The Brest Republic (BR) wishes to join the Libertarian League”.

The ALP claims, membership would grant BR the following:

Results:

ALP breakup

Due to divisions in ALP during the last few days between the isolationist stalinists, and the centrist-based social-democrats, and due to most of the alt-leftists quitting, the trotskyist Chairperson resigns. They are succeeded by a stalinist, who changes the emblem of the party to the emblem of the Third Internationale and proposes the following:

Results:

The Social Democrats proclaimed their succession from the ALP into a new party, named the Social Democratic Center (SDC). The remains of the alt-left thought proclaim their Left Party (LP). The Chairperson of the ALP renames the party into the Bolshevik Party (BP).

The parliamentary structure is now as follows:

To preserve the old centrist, internationally popular government, LPB and SDC form a coalition of 51 seats, with LP as their side partner. This coalition does not have the 67 percent necessary to change the constitution.

The chairperson of the Social Democratic Center, who was previously a senator in the Alt-Left Party, is proposed to be a Prime Minister by the LPB.

Results:

Exceptional Execution

According to the Minsk law, UN law and the resolution of the trial, the head of the former Reunification Party and their Party Militia has been given the Life in Jail, but the Belarussian Peace Convoy has let the Brest Parliament to decide between a death penalty and life imprisonment.

Results:

The former chairperson of the Reunification Party will not be served a death penalty, but will be imprisoned for life.

Other captured soldiers got mostly pardoned for being simple recruits. 10% of the militia and party got a penalty, mostly up to 5 years in prison, forced disarmament and confiscation of means of production.

Some prominent penalties:

Tank production

A member of the Bolshevik Party proposes the following:

Another member of the parliament proclaims that “at least 2 billion $ would be needed to research such a tank at all. I’d prefer building a direct railway between Pinsk and Slonim. So vote against!”

Results:

Pinsk-Slonim railway

The Social Democratic Center (SDC) proposes for a direct Pinsk-Slonim railway to be built.

Results:

700 million $ from this week’s additional projects’ budget will be devoted into the railway, leaving additional 300 million$ for this week’s projects.

Tank production

A bolshevik party member proposes the following idea:

The parliament votes on buying 50 Armata t-14 tanks from Russia for 250 million $.

Parties Militias

Given the events regarding the Libyan Fraud Scandal of Week Nine of the Brest Republic, a Left Party member of the Parliament of Brest proposes the following:

Results:

Party Popular Funding Principle

The LPB proposes the following:

We shall observe the critiques of those with a lower number of seats.

We shall also observe the defence of the bigger parties.

Results:

The SDC and the LP cannot appeal to the constitutional court because the law achieved constitutional majority.

The SDC and the LP promise to call for a referendum. “National referendums, or plebiscites, are elections whereby citizens can determine whether a specific legal text can become official law or not. For this to take place, one of the following conditions must be met: The president wishes to hold one, both houses of the National Assembly request to hold one, or the citizens petition for it. If the National Assembly calls for a plebiscite, a majority is needed in both chambers for it to be official. If the citizens request a plebiscite, they must gather 430,000 signatures from eligible voters across the country. Additionally, over 30,000 people from each region must sign the petition, including the capital Minsk. Once either condition is met, the president must issue a decree setting the date of the national plebiscite. The plebiscite must take place less than three months after the decree was signed. Local cities can hold their own plebiscites if ten percent of the local population ask for it.”, says Wikipedia. The SDC and the LP cannot achieve a majority inside the Parliament, and cannot gather 430’000 signatures, but the chairperson of the SDC is the Prime Minister, and the role of the President was handed over to the Prime Minister.

Therefore, the Prime Minister declares that a referendum shall take place this very week, before the first round of payouts could take place.

The Referendum

The referendum proposes for the Party Popular Funding Principle law to be repealed.

Results:

Note that the turnout was really law, around 38%.

The LPB appeals to the Constitutional Court to dismiss the referendum for the low participation rate, but the request is not taken care of due to it being denied by the Appeal Filtering Committee. Note that the latter denied the appeal due to the turnout still being high enough to show a realistic result, and due to how clean the result was.

WEEK ELEVEN

The Report on the Lybian Fraud Scandal process

The sentences regarding the Lybian Fraud Scandal are as follows.

The parliament gets to decide whether or not it is possible to retrieve the equipment, sent to the LNC. If they decide not to do so, a boycott must be imposed against the LNC.

Results:

Henceforth, a boycott is issued against the LNC.

Smoking Bill

The Bolshevik Party proposes the following:

The Prime Minister proposes for the first indent to be changed into: “Smoking in public areas, 5 meters or less away from another person, is banned”.

Results:

Which one should be implemented (does not need 50% but must have the highest support, higher than the “no” from the results above, hence the higher one with at least 20% support will be chosen):

Hence, it is now partially illegal to smoke in public areas 5 or less meters away from somebody else, especially less than 1 meter away from other people.

WEEK TWELVE

Political Freedoms Bill

The Liberal Party of Brest proposes the following:

The LP notes that this would let the LPB continue their path to a constitutional majority with ease against their common interest.

Results:

The newly appointed chairperson of the LPB makes a speech:

“This is a final betrayal. It is the opposition which has decided to wrongly attack our party for the crimes we had not committed. After all we did to save our party, after all the ideas we proposed to keep a stable, modern and a moderate parliament of liberalism and social democracy, the Social Democratic Center has decided to backstab us. Is this a democracy? No; after the coup of the Iron Front, the Reds have teamed up in a Workers’ Front. We declare a state of emergency inside the party. They are trying to banish us; only to gain power!”

The chairperson of the Bolshevik Party replied:

“We declare a coalition of the BP, LP and partially SDC. We do not have a constitutional majority. We cannot even pass any radical laws, as the SDC will block them off. Do not worry. We are not yet able to install a Dictatorship of the Proletariat. Our goal is not to ban other parties, but to punish those who support neoliberal regimes, against other neoliberal regimes, and steal my, I mean our, State Reserves.”

The chairperson of the SDC, who is the Prime Minister as well, stood up and declared:

“I do not agree for the SDC to take part in any of the two possible coalitions. The Bolshevik Party and the Liberal Party of Brest are both power-hungry monsters. We are not extremists, let’s just have elections if a coalition cannot be formed.”

The chairperson of the Left Party replied:
“We did wow to run this full term. Let’s not break up the coalition so little time before the ordinary elections come up. BP has 42 seats; LPB has 40 seats; LP has 7 seats; SDC has 11 seats. Let us think of something…”

A member of the SDC spoke up:

“Not only the LBP, the SDC is unstable as well. This is all due to a divide inside the party, between the social democrats, and the emerging radically social-democratic force inside the party. As radical social democrats, we have decided to split away. Let both parts have their parties, and everyone will be cool.”

The new parliament seat buildup:

The RSP, LP and BP form a new coalition of 53 seats. 53% is enough for a coalition, for a majority, but not for a constitutional majority. The parliament may proceed as usual, now under the banner of the most powerful Bolshevik Party.

Political Security Bill

The Bolshevik Party has proposed the following idea:

Results:

“How is this a coalition?”, shouts the chairperson of the Bolshevik Party.

“Shut up, we’re in a coalition, but we won’t support power-grabbing!”, the chairperson of the Radical Social Party replied.

“But… The workers!”, said the chairperson of the BP.

“Shut it”, everyone said.

And everyone did shut up.

WEEK THIRTEEN

Russian Language

The Russian Ethnic Committee has proposed for the Russian Language to become an officially recognized, sponsored and protected minority language over all of the Belarussian Republic. Also, it has been proposed for the parliament to announce its recognition that the “evil Rus Party” from the first election of Brest Parliament was not the true representative of the Russian People, instead the Russian Ethnic Committee and the State are to be declared as their real representation.

Lida-Pinsk highway

The Radical Social Party proposes for a highway to be built between the cities of Lida and Pinsk, to complete the railway-highway cross going through the State. This will cost the State the weekly budget for additional projects.

Results:

WEEK FOURTEEN

Fourth Brest Parliamentary Election

It’s Parliamentary Election Time!

The results:

The Bolshevik Party declares a coalition by themselves, claiming a constitutional majority.

One Party Union

The Bolshevik Party proposes for the parliament to be renamed into the Supreme Soviet and for the Bolshevik Party to reign all by itself.

Results:

As this would need a constitutional majority, it is declined.

The Bolshevik Party asks the RSP to enter its coalition, but the latter refuses to do so.

UN report

The UN reports that almost all of their political advisors overseeing elections have disappeared and all data has been lost. Only 3 out of 184 watchdogs have returned from the Brest Republic. Two of them are fighting for their lives in a hospital in Geneva, the third one is reporting a masked person assaulting and threatening them. Surprisingly, the masked person was wearing a pin with a picture of Lenin and Stalin. The UN proclaims that the Parliament of Brest should suspend all its activities until more is known about the elections. They could either be rigged, or all of this could’ve been set up to point fingers at the Bolshevik Party.

Hours pass, as the parliament is having a long break, seeing that the UN is willing to intervene in the case that the Bolshevik Party ignores the demand to pause their activities.

Hours later, an armed convoy of UN special forces pushes through the BR border with Poland with no warning, and is to Brest in 20 minutes. The parliament is soon surrounded, and 60 heavily armed infantry soldiers block the exits. The Special Advisor of the United Nations walks into the parliament.

“The United Nations has concluded that the Fourth Brest Parliamentary Election was rigged and is not legitimate. Political violence, fake ballots and digital manipulation were all used.”

At that moment, a loud explosion is heard. The UN soldiers start screaming. The UN Special Advisor starts running towards the exit, but collapses short of their goal. A member of the Bolshevik Party has just riddled them with bullets.

Soon, the UN Convoy surrendered. The chairperson of the Bolshevik Party now orders for them to be forcefully extradited across the Polish Border.

The vote on extradition

The BP proposes for all UN forces inside BR to be extradited to the Third Polish Republic.

Results:

All UN soldiers are extradited.

The vote on preliminary election

The United Nations proposes for a parliamentary election to be held in Brest.

Result:

“This is strange, I abstained”, a member of the SDC shouts.

“I voted against an election”, a member of RSP shouts.

The chairperson of the BP stands up and says: “Let’s have some fun on the election, comrades.”

A member of the Radical Social Party stands up and throws a small rock towards the Prime Minister, but misses them. The PM is also the chairperson of the SDC. They stand up and say “Why lynch me? I resign. Lynch and stone the Bolsheviks, it was not me who abused the system!”

The Fourth Prime Minister of Brest

The BP proposes the chairperson of the Bolshevik Party to become the prime minister.

Results:

WEEK FIFTEEN

Brest Parliamentary Election

The new parliamentary election results are as follows:

The Bolshevik Party, with the constitutional majority, constitutes the sole coalition party.

The Preparation

It has been noted that a new party - the Cooperative Left Party (CLP) - has been formed but does not wish to rerun the elections. They have started assembling arms and organizing hundreds of people in their armed ranks.

It has been noted that the Liberal Party of Brest has an approximate 15% support amongst the populace and is starting to assemble their armed forces.

It has been noted that the Radical Social Party has taken control of a military base near Stolin and is driving the tanks towards the Capital City.

The Bolshevik Party proposes the following:

Results:

The Battle of Žabinka

The CLP has taken over the village of Žabinka between the cities of Brest and Kobryn. Their strength is between 200 and 500 soldiers.

The RSP and the LPB have joined together into the Free Party (FP) and have taken over the village of Kleiniki, near the city of Brest. Their strength is around 3000 soldiers and 470 tanks.

The Bolshevik Party proposes an air raid of 30 close air support planes to be sent to destroy as much of the FP forces as possible.

30 planes are sent. 27 get shot down by the FP AA defence short of their objective. Only 2 succeed to deal any damage, but mysteriously explode after killing between 5 and 10 FP soldiers each. One plane turns back and escapes destruction.

The FP forces attack the northern sector of the defense belt of Brest. With side fire from the CLP against the Bolshevik soldiers, the two break the northern and northeastern sector of the Brest Defence Belt.

The Puškinskaja Riot

The vul. Puškinskaja street has been taken over by an unapproved protest, organized by the Socialist Students’ Association (SSA) and the Socialist Rifle Association (SRA).

A member of the protest has used a minigun to down 17 State Soldiers, who tried to calm down the protest.

The Bolshevik Party proposes for all remaining tank forces to take care of the protest; and for all remaining infantry to cover the broken northern and northeastern part of the Defence Belt of the Brest City.

Results:

The Bolshevik Retreat

Before Bolshevik reinforcements could arrive, the Free Party together with the Cooperative Left Party had succeeded in breaking through all the remains of the Northern and Eastern defence area of the defence belt of the Brest City. The forces of the FP and the CLP have united with the SSA-SRA protesters and have surrounded the city center.

The Bolshevik Party proposes the following:

Results:

Liberation

The CLP, FP, SSA and SRA finally march into the evacuated, now vacant parliament building.

The CLP calls for an election.

“Yeeeeesssss” is heard from the crowd.

The founder of the Brest wing of the Socialist Rifle Association proposes: “Let us transfer the election over to the United Nations. Let’s not make them simply supervise the election, but control and hold it as well… We will supervise it, of course…”

“Yeeeeesssss” is heard from the crowd.

“The city of Brest has been liberated”, the founder of the SRA states.

WEEK SIXTEEN

The Parliamentary Election of Brest

A parliamentary election, organized and supported by the UN on the behalf of the Breast-controlling parties takes place in all of the country, except in the city of Pinsk, which is still under the control of the Bolshevik Party.

Results:

The Cooperative Left Party (CLP), the Socialist Students’ Association (SSA) and the Libertarian Left Party (LLP) form a coalition. Together they control 57% of the parliament, which is not a constitutional majority, hence there is no threat of a regime taking place.

The three parties pledge to build a Brest of Equals, a Brest of Freedom, a Brest of True Democracy.
Pinsk Offensive

The Free Party proposes for an offensive to be conducted towards the city of brest, the last remaining stronghold of the Bolshevik Regime.

The FP proposes for three waves of an offensive to be summoned. Each wave should consist of 3’000 soldiers, 80 tanks and 50 close air support planes. Note that most armed forces were taken over by the new government and are meant to be sent in this offensive.

Results:

The offensive breaks the southern defensive belt of Pinsk in the first wave and breaks into the center, where it halts and awaits the second and the third way. The combined offensive forces completely demolish the governmental buildings in Pinsk and declare victory of the new government of the Brest Republic over the Bolshevik Tyranny.

WEEK SEVENTEEN

WEEK TWENTY

Operation Containment

The Third Technical Security Team of the Safety Anti-Terrorist Agency (SATA) has transferred an emergency note to the parliament of Brest.

The note is as follows.

At the parliament of Brest, 10 people wearing black suits have broken into an airplane from outside. They have blocked themselves in and shot some of their automatic rifles into the railway. They are using a megaphone to communicate with the outside.

Their demands are: 1. Amnesty to themselves, 2. Renaming of People’s Spooky Forces into the Armed Forces, 3. All governmental power should be transferred to the Reunification Party, 4. Unless these demands are met in the time frame of 96 hours, all 102 of plane passengers will be killed one after another and even more damage will be done

The Parliament is asked as to what shall be done.

The Technical Security Team number 3 has concluded that the best plan of action might be as follows:

One of the members of parliament comments that this is simply brutal and inhumane. The drones should only fire “huge webs, neutralizing the enemy”. A member of the Left Party replies that “This is simply not effective and would take months to develop”.

“Let’s simply run into the attackers’ faces with 3 drones per attacker and use the remaining 10 drones to cause confusion. In the meantime, let's board the plane and arrest the attackers” someone replies.

Parliamentary result over a vote over the proposal, as improved by parliamentary suggestions:

The action takes place. The drones neutralize seven targets quickly enough. Three targets manage to grab a weapon. Of those, two destroy the drones targeting them with no injuries. One person receives a cut in their elbow and in their teeth but escapes into the toilet. The two people who are still active start shooting into the crowd and fire between ten and twenty shots. One of them screams into the megaphone “Stop or I kill the remaining hosta-”. At that very moment, they lose the megaphone as they are arrested by the SATA squad. The squad then jumps in the plane and starts shooting at the only remaining active terrorist, who jumps behind a group of passengers and starts shooting back. As the SATA declines to shoot into the crowd, four SATA squad members are shot before another SATA squad approaches the terrorist from the back and arrests them. The only remaining terrorist comes from the toilet, stabs the closest SATA member and jumps out of the airplane. Shot dead running on the runway.

Two out of four shot SATA squad members died.

Out of 102 passengers, 19 died, 24 were injured.

No crew member was not injured.

The two arrested terrorists face charges of terrorism, hijaking of a viechle, organization of a party militia, political terrorism, mass shooting and mass murder. Other eight terrorists died.

Two members of technical security committee and one SATA member have been arrested on charges of mistreatment and murder from neglegance. Others who used drones in the action will not face charges as they presented orders from high command as an overwhelming evidence of innocence.

It has been noted by the state media that the deaths of the terrorists were brutal and painful. Much of the public anger has thus fallen against the parliament, who is also seen as guilty for low effectiveness - many civilian deaths could’ve been avoided, they say.

The prime minister issues a speech:

“The government has failed at its most basic mission, they say. They claim we have failed at protecting the citizens of this country. Such a claim is full of ignorance and hatred. Was it not for our intervention, all the passengers would be dead. Since we created the SATA, we can finally intervene against those basically weekly terrorist attacks and start slowing them down, and start lowering the number of victims. The system is new and is not perfect. It took us two days to assemble the forces for our first proper anti-terrorist operation, and it was better than seeing the terrorists win. We promise that, in cooperation with other progressive and successful nations, we are developing our security forces and are seeking to institute an effective, swift and responsive mechanism for dealing with such issues. We are doing our best to prevent acts of terrorism, and we have done a lot. Thank you. Don’t forget to vote for us to help us stop terrorism!”

EU membership

Given the successful stabilization of Brest politics, liberalization of civil policies and transparent democratization of Brest, the EU invites Brest to join.

The European Union has asked for the decision to be arrived to through a referendum.

The European Union will, if Brest Republic consents to joining, give Brest a 2 year transition period to accept and introduce all european laws and policies.

The parliament votes for the referendum to be held:

Parliamentary results:

Public turnout was 59.72%.

Our nation is bright enough to cope with reality with no need for any church-based institution to take place in the region. We will not allow any church to begin misleading the people. We, adults, are guided solely by truth!”

Most of the parliament shouted “Aye!” in confirmation.

Everybody signed the response “I agree but wtf”

Due to material, thus socioeconomic conditions, limiting the society from satisfying the ego of one participating in itself by using the virtual system of currency to produce or buy 18481917 portraits of Max Stirner, the parliamentary results are as follows:

The chairperson of the Cooperative Left Party speaks up: “But truly… This is 18 million portraits; if we are economical, each can cost us 10 brest dollars. This means we would have to spend 180 million brest dollars to purchase it. Let’s reconsider it, how fun of an international story it would make. It would make us at least 500 million brest dollars only from media coverage and tourism! Let’s reconsider it, let’s vote again.”

The electronic system allows for a new attempt.

Public Deradicalization Bill

The SSA party proposes the following:

A member of the Free Party points out: “This would be a massive infringement on the autonomy of media in the Republic. We must recognize that far-right radicalization does not happen so much through the only two papers in the Republic that meet the requirements (The Daily Worker, People’s News on Liberation). Prevention of radicalization through censorship is near to impossible to achieve. Let us seek education, positive engagement and planned deradicalization - not governmental misconduct which only pushes the unlawful to occur underground!”

The chairman of the SAA laughed the speaker off and asserted that “This is utter bulshit. We cannot tolerate intolerance. The common worker must be taught the value of our unity and how it is only and solely about class. Everything boils down to class.”

It must be noted that many Parliament Members reacted to this statement by attaching the notice of Class Reductionism to the SAA chairman’s thoughts.

WEEK TWENTY-THREE

Brest Parliamentary Election

The results of the parliamentary election of Brest are presented here. It must be noted the previous term was the first term completed peacefully, with no coups or trouble. The state is now stable and shall move on.

Results:

FP, IB, LLP, and APCL form the coalition with 71 seats, thus constituting a constitutional majority. However, there is a big division between the majority of the coalition and the LLP which makes it impossible for a constitutional regime to take over, while keeping the possibility of democratic and transparent constitutional changes open.

A study of the public opinions finds that 74.9% of citizens admire the new coalition; 7.1% do not take note of its positivity or negativity; 5.2% do not know how to respond; 2.6% dislike the coalition; only 0.2% oppose the new coalition entirely. A correlation between opposition against the coalition and self-proclaimed supporters of BP/CDU was found. A correlation between the dislike of the coalition and self-proclaimed support of BP/LP/APC/CLP/LPB was found.

It has also been found that tensions in the country have ceased. There are no active protests or serious instabilities. There are only healthy and constructive criticisms, supported and/or welcomed by the Coalition itself.

If the state is not only stable, but a true pillar of democracy, this government should peacefully remain in power for four more weeks, until the Week Twenty-Seven of the Republic of Brest, when the next regular parliamentary election is scheduled.

Representation of the BR in the UN

The UN and the Brest Republic have finally prepared all the documentation and recognition necessary for the BR to start its day-to-day business-as-usual in the United Nations.

The BR may now decide to finally send its advisors and representatives, chosen democratically in the meantime, to the UN apparatuses.

This shall initiate full membership of the BR in the international community.

Intervention in the border regions between the Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic (Transnistria) and the UN-Backed Moldovan Government-held areas

The Moldovan Embassy has asked the parliament of the Brest Republic to station troops at the river of Dniester, on the Moldovan-controlled area near Chisinau.

The Intersectional Brest Party notes that the Foreign Relations Committee of Brest has already chosen to recognize the autonomy and stability of the Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic.

The Intersectional Brest Party proposes that it might be a violation of Brest’s own laws to conduct such a military maneuver with no openly declared state of war with Pridnestrovie, a region quite cooperative with the Brest government.

WEEK TWENTY-SEVEN

Parliamentary Election of Brest

The Brest Republic holds its regular parliamentary election.

The election is going to be affected by the newly incorporated Belarussian territories, but the variation shall be marginal.

Results:

FP (28 seats), LLP (13 seats), IB (12 seats) and ANF (2 seats) form a coalition of 55 seats, thus controlling a majority of over 50 seats. They do not pose a danger to the constitutional order of the republic, as they do not come close to controlling the constitutional majority of 67 seats.

It is highly expected that as the newly incorporated Belarus becomes more ideologically adapted to Brest, the current coalition will gain a constitutional majority.

Apparently even the far-left and far-libertarian SSA is too hierarchical and reactionary for the new coalition to be let in.

M1 Coalition

Given the territorial success, multiple-terms stability and success, the LLP proposes for the current governmental coalition to be named the “M1 Coalition”, after the Brest-Minsk-Orsha highway.

FP, LLP, IB and ANF all internally approved the proposal.

Brest Budget

The budget is measured in Brest Dollars ($).

INCOME:

TOTAL: 13.8 billion $

RESERVES:

TOTAL: 28.5 billion $

LOANS:

TOTAL: 3 billion

OUTCOME:

IN TOTAL: 8 billion $

This would leave a weekly plus of 5.8 billion $, while allowing for 2.2 billion $ weekly to be spent on additional development, infrastructure, research and other projects. State reserves, minus the loans, total 25.5 billion $.

The budget has been highly increased after the annexation of Belarus.

Transition

The Belarussian Party proposes for the Brest Republic to be renamed into the Belarussian National Republic.

Results:

It just so happens that even the Belarussian Party (BP) was split in the vote. There are two elements of the party - nationalist element and the element of the restoration of the old Belarus.

In BP, the head of the party threatens to oust any element of the party not compatible with the nationalistic outfit. In response, a member of the restoration movement presents an ultimatum - the party shall either turn to the restoration of the old Belarussian system, split into two or cease to exist.

The head of the BP vetoes the options - but cannot prevent a split.

6 out of 14 members of the BP in Parliament split off into the “Belarussian Democratic Party”.

The remaining 8 BP’s Members of Parliament rename the BP into the “Party of the Belarussian Nation”.

Now, the seats are arranged as follows:

FP (28 seats), LLP (13 seats), IB (12 seats) and ANF (2 seats) are still in a coalition, thereby the System remains stable.

Can Brest hold on to the fourth term with no coup attempts, civil wars, parliamentary destruction etc.?
